Halloween went good. I was battling a cold so my energy levels could have been more awesome. But I still managed to put in some solid plague doctor hours:
The children were either terrified by my very presence or thought I was Spy vs. Spy (modern goth edition I guess). One really young boy said “you’re a penguin!” Some yard snaps:
I’m about as sleepy as can be.

Man, best we could manage this year (for a bunch of reasons, mostly related to totally unexpected crap coming up), was some skull lights and a (giant) bowl of candy.
That said, we had about 200 kids come by, which is more than I expected. Hallowe’en traffic patterns would be an interesting civil engineering study or something…neighbours around the corner got like 2 kids. 3 doors down! What the heck?
Anyhoo…how much kiddo traffic did you guys get? Next year I want to do something more elaborate…Hallowe’en is totally fun.

Last year we got around 200. This year I think it was down to 150, not sure if that’s random or because it rained all day or because it was on a weekend (I’ve heard there can be less because kids go to parties.)
There’s a neighborhood near our place where they block off the roads to traffic because there are so many trick-or-treaters. They’re smaller houses, all squashed together and I guess everyone drops their kids off to get the best door to footstep ratio.
