Last.fm bought by CBS – $280m, congratulations to Last.fm. I assume the site will stagnate and slowly die now like just about every other Web 2.0 site that’s been bought.

Heh, my first thought after getting into the office and being informed was startlingly similar – but after meeting the CBS guys at an office barbecue and hearing what they had to say I’m actually fairly confident that everything will be ok.
Seriously, they’ve got the right idea about all this – and I’m just as surprised about that as you are!
