Had one of those “this is all garbage, maybe I should bail on this album and start over fresh” musical panic attacks yesterday. So I think I’m right on track to release my second album around 2010.

Brad, please, your music is amazing. You’re all I’ve been listening to for the past month. I know how it is, though…I’m a part-time (sigh) singer myself, and I feel like I suck a lot of the time, even though people tell me I don’t. Send that album over to me and I’ll reassure you. :)

Does it help to know I’m insanely jealous of the new demos I’ve heard so far?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been tempted to just chuck my own new record into the garbage bin. It’s always too pop/not pop enough/too folky/not folky enough/too weird/too normal/too inconsistent/too bland/too risky/too safe/ etc. forever infinity +1
Get it out there so you can move on to the next one. :)

Take your time, but 2010 is unacceptable. I say first do a check and make sure you are having fun. If you’re not, try to home in on the cause and try to fix it. For me it’s usually technical problems or lack of large blocks of time without distraction.

in the throes of trying to get one together myself…so I HEAR ya. But….having been one of a few to have heard it all….I’m saying it’s teh rawk….don’t be drastic. Take a breather! It really is, as a body of work, really really good dude.

I’d rather you put out a lot of material-some good, some bad, although I haven’t found a “bad” song by you anyway- than put out a really good album every 5-7 years. It’s already been four years since your first album came out, and I think that’s too long to wait.
