Mugshot (thanks JB!) almost does what I want as a central identity feed aggregator (see my Temple of Ego post). But it’s missing a few things to make me happy:
- You can only import feeds from services they’ve specifically programmed. Being able to use any RSS feed would be better.
- Because it’s missing Google Reader starred/shared items & Picasa Web Albums, etc.
- Let readers customize Mugshot feeds. Say a reader wants to subscribe to my Mugshot feed but isn’t interested in my Flickr photos. They should be able to toggle that.
Are there any other services like this out there?

Thanks for the feedback, based on it I’ve just completed basic support for Google Reader shared items and Picasa Web Albums in our development version; it should be live on the site sometime in the next couple weeks, probably sooner.
For adding arbitrary feeds, one workaround is to create a private group and add feeds to the group (you can add arbitrary feeds to a group).
We’ll work on a better solution.
We’ve created some mockups of the screen for customizing what stuff you get from other people, once we get it nailed down how this might work we’ll take a crack at it.
Thanks!
