You know, it’s bad enough that I’m forced to use MySpace because it’s where all the people are at. Bad enough that I’m stuck replying to fan mail in their awful little inbox manager which is cluttered with ads, slow, inefficient and totally unable to search emails for later reference.
Also bad enough is that every page I go to is an all-out assault of audio visual battery, violating at least two of my senses at all times, not even including my sense of good taste. It’s bad enough that with each “connection” I make with a fan I’m entirely dependent on MySpace to contact them in the future as I have no email address for them. Not to mention that I will certainly lose and forget about them in my hundreds of friends. Who were those dudes from around here who wanted to come to my next show? Uhhh.
I also can’t import my blog there and on top of that I can’t import a gig list, so I have to maintain the one on my site at the same time. I can’t change the four songs I’ve uploaded there without breaking all the pages that people have linked them on. Blah blah blah, on and on.
So on top of ALL of that, keeping in mind it being bought for $580 million dollars: COULD IT AT LEAST STOP BEING BROKEN ALL THE TIME:
“Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred.” Man, don’t surprise me like that. I nearly fell down.
I probably see this error four times a day and I’m by no means an avid MySpacer. I just log in to approve friend requests and reply to emails now and then. WHAT IS THE DEAL.

Please just fix it I have like 5 or 6 comments i can not check because of the error problem that is always happening. I can view everyone else’s profile but mine, that is just stupid.

come on, myspace, i know u have a whole lot of money to buy larger servers like for yahoo which rarely ever crashes… i cant even go to my inbox, this is total bs. well not to sound all pissy, myspace is good because EVERY1 has it and its the way to communicate these days

Oh myspace, is a really bad website. I need it to organise my social life because its the only thing my friends use consistently. But no, it wont let me log in and hasnt done for the past three days because “the connection timed out” and I dont know what the fuck to do. Why on earth doesnt myspace have a power server of some sort? It should never be down. It also makes me puke because of the design and the shitty designs people plaster on their ages with about 100 adds in the corner saying “do you want cool new layouts like this?” erm no not really tbh, it looks shit. It doesnt even work for god sake. I get about 5 error messages a day no questions asked and i spend about an hour on it per day. Its not good enough when that many people rely on it.

Tom isn’t the owner of Myspace anymore Newscorp is so they should be fixing the site.
I hate not being able to log in as of right now but if it weren’t for Myspace I would not have reconnected with so many people.
The other sites out there are all geared towards high school and college aged kids, like Facebook for exampe who straight up said I was too old to be a member of their website.

You will not believe this… i am a regular myspace blogger, and yesterday i wrote a huge 3 page blog, took me hours, and when i click post it comes up with that notorious sorry, unexpected error screen, AND I LOSE MY ENTIRE BLOG!!!!!! myspace needs to get fixed, their useless.

Argh–this Sorry! An unexpected error has occurred message is driving me INSANE!!
I’ve been having a HUGE problem with it since yesterday. Yesterday afternoon I noticed that my layout was slightly askew (the Blurb section wider than my blog section.) I went in to About Me to change it and voila, I got the dreaded error message. My page didn’t come back for about about 15 minutes. This went on about 4 times. I completely reposted all the code with fine code (actually opened a new account to try it out on and it looks fine.) Yesterday evening at 7:15 got the same error message, but this time my site didn’t reaapear til about 2 am. IN the process I sent about 20 message to tech support and myspacehelp and NOONE replied, except for the completely automated and inane tech support answers, like “if you’d like to send a bulletin, then go into your account….” total insanity.
At 6am when I woke up, my page was there, looking fine. BUt I knew I had to check it cause ultimately I will have to add comments to About Me. Once again, clicked SUBMIT and then tried to view my page (after adding a sentence as a test) and error message.
I had to wait til noon today for my page to appear.
Since then, it’s been up and down 3 times. All the time, I’ve been able to log in and get mail.
Does anyone here have any ideas about why this is happening? I deleted all recent comments as well as totally replacing the code in About Me using Safe mode.
My theory is, there’s a problem in one of the nodes on the server where my profile resides. Should I just wait for a few days when their servers might theoretically recache and then try it or do I have to delete my account altogether and start over?
Any ideas guys?

Yes I’ve been having the same problems damnit, getting that error message when adding song to my profile. Just today too it’s was going on for awhile and found this page.
I Cleared my browsers’ cookies, logged in and tried it again and it was find. So may be a cookie issue on some occasions..?

Myspace is just a bunch of BS. I’ve been trying to edit one of my blogs for the past half hour and all I keep getting is “Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred.”. And this small change from “1843” to “1896” still hasn’t been fixed because of this BS.

This is bullshit, I think the ‘unexpected errors’ are QUITE EXPECTED AND MYSPACE IS DOING THIS ON PURPOSE. IT MAY BE TIME TO TAKE THIS INTO OUR OWN ACTION/ACTIONS AND STOP THEM.. YES BY BLOWING THEM UP

Hi. I hade this problem with myspace “the unexpected error” thing, everytime i was trying to delete my player or even try to change the song from my playlist. What i did and solved my problem instantly was to go to “edit profil”, “account settings” and then change the field that states “Preferred Site & Language :” from uk to usa. After that i could do anything without a problem and especialy without seeing this anoying message

Well yeah Myspace ”Errors” Are pretty bad, and you would think that it’s a piece of Junk but it really isn’t If you look at this from a technical Side.
Computing, and Computer Science is my specialty.
The only real problem I see is the Enormous Traffic, and Pacthes.
Myspace is the Biggest Social Network out there, and is the most Securest, most Vulnerabilities have been patched, and can cause problems… which you cannot blaim Myspace for it.
A lot of things on Myspace now are lame for sure (Security Measures)But you cannot blaim Myspace for that, but the lame Skiddies, Spammers.
And most of the Errors occure do to… to much Users, backed up Traffic do to the size of Myspace’s Network.
The Errors are caused by Users not Myspace… and it’s kind of impossible to Fix that.
I get Practically No Errors at all…
I only have like 31 Friends
And Probably most of your Guy’s Profile Problems…can be caused by poorly Myspace Profiles Malform CSS Coding.
Myspace now is pretty Gay… but I dun blaim its developers, mainly blaim its Popularity.
Myspace Network is far in the Hundred Millions now… with multiple Networks already… Some problems can’t be avoided. They’re doing the best they can.
And @ Eric… You got to understand… that most of these Errors can be caused by a lot of Patches… as well.
There are Almost No known vulnerabilities at Myspace Now… Ebay has loads of Holes, and Ebay probably has a lot more Money than Myspace lol Which is a big factor, and not The Programmers Fault.
You couldn’t Possibly comapare Ebay (Auction, Sell Trade Site) to a site like Myspace lol.

i’ve been getting this error for like 5 years! past 4 years i havent used myspace at all because facebook is so much better and doesn’t have neary as many errors.. i just used facebook myspace.. it is not even high traffic hour in u.s. yet because everyone is still sleeping.. and i’ve gotten about 50 errors in the past 30 minutes.. ridiculous!

Every goddamn fuckin day when I use myspace, I cannot comment shit and I waste 3/4 of the days in my life so I can atleast put in 2 comments to 2 friends on myspace then that more famous than fucking god error message appears when I try to add and accept friends and when I post blogs and enter data on wether I’m reading, listeng to music ar watching a movie, I keep getting that fucking error message. How inconfuckingspicuous is that??? If I didn’t keep getting that inevitable error message, I would’ve kept in touch with all my friends in a jiffy and spend a hell of a lot less time on myspace. No, I take that bace. It should be called Errorspace!!!

Ahh so i’ve experienced the same as all of you! Thats why i created another page, and moved on to Facebook.com! Myspace is too much of an inconvenience now and facebook allows me to receive messages via sms and i dont have to use a mobil browser. I prefer facebook.com over myspace.com anyday.
