Worst gear purchase? – a fun thread full of audio gear regrets. My worst was probably the EMU ESI-2000 sampler where I tried (and failed) to convince myself I was wrong about soft-samplers being the future.

Yeah, we’ve all got some questionables. I bought a Yamaha A4000 for much the same reason you bought that EMU and… yeah. Not great for me.
I also have a Roland-brand membrane-covered MIDI interface for mixing, which seemed awesome when I was bidding on it, then I realized I had absolutely no use for it once I got it.
