For you WordPress 2.0 using musicians out there, here’s a plugin I wrote today: CC Mixlist.

It grabs the latest remixes of an artist off CC Mixter so you can display them on your website. I’m using it now in my remix section to list all the Brad Sucks remixes over there. Maybe somebody will find it useful.

Well sir, this’d be useful is people were actually remixing me on CC Mixter. I might just install it anyway.

it’s too bad it doesn’t pull the ID3 tags. my remixes (in your cc mixter list) don’t show up with any info. plus, some of them are doubled from your own list. i’m not complaining though…. :)

and future boy, i threw you a mashup so quit crying.

Well, it can pull any info that’s in the CC remix feeds. I could put the artist name and such in there, but it quickly runs out of screen real-estate on a lot of remixes so I’m not sure what to do there.

interesting. it only seems to pull the titles for my cc remixes (overreacting and reworked out fine), so unless i include my name in the title field, it won’t show up.

no big.

wait, let’s be clear: there is *ton* of information coming through on the feed, including your description, tags, artist name, etc. and (I think) all the sources you used besides brad for the remix.)

Brad is deciding to not include that stuff because of screen real estate issue. It’s all there in the feed.
