You know, this could revolutionize the way people write songs.

Some people are a bit better at making those lists than others. Also, agree about revolutionizing song writing. What if you made your list first and wrote the lyrics afterwards?

Exactly. I don’t know about you, but I’m terrible with lyrics. However, I’m pretty good at taking notes, making lists, etc. You can see patterns in some of them. A lot of Cake songs, for example, follow patterns:

She doesn’t care
-Whether or not he’s an island
-(about anything) Just as long as his ship’s coming in
-Whether or not he’s a good man

In this format, you repeat the header at the beginning of each subset. You can format it so that the end of each line fits a rhyme scheme, keep track of syllables initially or after you write the basics, and add “filler” words like “well,” “just,” “baby,” “Jesus,” etc. where necessary. It’d be interesting to see where you could take it. Probably write out the “notes” first, then modify it so it has more “soul.”
