I went looking for the most expensive new and non-limited edition guitar that I could find tonight. Looks like the winner is the CF Martin D-45 V Dreadnaught Vintage Series Acoustic Guitar with a list price of $9,599.00. Sam Ash generously offers a 25% discount however, so you can get it for the low low price of $7,199.99. It gets a pretty good rating on Harmony Central, but I think just spending that amount of money on a guitar would compel me to give it a 10.
If you’re willing to include limited editions, the Martin D100 Deluxe, signed by Martin Chairman Martin IV is a uh bargain at $96,000.>
>Update: Looks like Eric was right and I was pretty far off. A guitar called La Venezia lists at $26,250 and the most expensive I’ve found it for is $21,000 here.

some of u ppl are too stupid to know the difference between a custom stratocaster and an old, cheap as dirt replica. The difference in sound is COMPLETELY different! And the price of that 2.7mil guitar is now acually 2.8mil, the price of it is still going up and always will as long as it exists.
PS. Dylan i dont think its exactly practical to buy a Lamborghini, either, considering that the speed limits are nowhere near 300MPH.

Wrong again dude. There are so many guitars in the $25,000 range it is crazy. Personally, the Martin OM-45 is my fav. Forget the off-names- just stick with Gibson, Fender and Martin.

Check out acoustic guitars made by James A. Olson. I don’t think he makes one under 10 grand. James Taylor plays these things!

I saw Jimmy Paige’s double neck, signed, for only $6.7 million dollars. THAT WAS ONE FUKING EXPENSIVE GUITAR. Too bad it was sold back in 2007 :(

I am not sure what the most expensive guitar is,but I do know that Martin guitars have a brilliant sound.I own a Martin D-45 175th Anniversary Edition and I love it…..very comparable to the D-45.
