I’ve been having a rough time deciding on my next song so I’ve decided to force myself to release something. Here’s a rock song I’ve been a-fussin and a-feudin with. I think the mix is a bit of a mess, but I’ll worry about that later.

Love the drums. Are they samples/loops?

Also: big nasty guitar sounds like 50′ high Marshall stack. Nice work.

This is just what I needed to get me through this day!

Thank you, Brad!

This is beautiful! I love the heavier guitar sound, too!

Fan-bloody-tastic.
That guitar sound is freakin’ awesome.

And I wouldn’t worry too much about the mix… gives it a little bit of a “live” feeling.

This. Is. Awesome. I’m beginning to think that when you’re unsure of a track’s mixing quality or whatever, you should just put it online and see what happens.

My only complaint is that the lyrics do sound kind of low in volume, although this can be reified by adjusting the balancer on my player.

Is the narrator a vampire in this one? I mean, I’m just thinking out loud here.

On a mostly unrelated note, I think that you should check out the band Dorah (http://www.dorah.freeola.com/main.htm) if you haven’t already. They are cool, and I would call them your competitors if “competition” really seemed to apply to free music.

My only complaint is the voice..I heard it (or tried to) and instantly knew it was way too low. Awesome job man, you are the best out there.

You guys missed the entire point of the song. If you listen closely at the end, I talk about my love for cheese, among other things. Also, if you read the title backwards, it spells ‘Satan’, or something like that.

I hate it when I miss the point. (/me pouts)

Wait. The point is Satanic CHEESE? I would never have gotten that one.

I changed that poster’s name from Brad to “Other_Brad” because he ain’t me and was pretending to be.

Thanks for the feedback on the mix everyone, I’ll go back to it eventually. The vocals don’t sound too quiet here but I’ve only heard it on this system. They’re complaining about the guitars over on somesongs.com but here you’re liking them, funny old world.

Scott: the drums are samples.

I wasn’t thinking about vampires when I wrote the song, but whatever resonates with you is cool with me.

I would like to hear a second mix of this with vocals brought out more and give the guitar some more feeling… it is a bit too rythmic and uniform.. make it a little rough around the edges and wail on it a little bit ;).

Now I say a second mix cause once I heard it I might hate it. I see a lot of people say you need to bring the vocals out more in your songs but for the most part I do not agree.. I think it is part of your style and I like it the way it is. However in this one I would be interested in hearing how it turns out if you were to bring it out more and and have a bit more variation in your guitar.. as in wail on it a bit more in the chorus and ease up inbetween.

Overall though I really like the song, it is a nice addition. Just my 2 cents. :)

it kicks ass. i don’t think the vocals are too low at all. i wouldn’t change a thing there. also, your voice is sounding better and better all the time!

i like the guitar everywhere but in the first verse, where it’s just the rhythm guitar and drums and sound kind of too sample-y. when you put the additional texture on it in the second verse it sounds great. maybe do the first verse without the drums, something like that.

great song.

I’ve always found that brad’s vocals sound kinda low on my less-than-impressive computer speakers, however, the same can be noticed when I’m listening to certain Foo Fighters albums, this is due to more-than-impressive mixing, try burning his songs onto a CD and listening to them on an actual stereo system, I found my bradsucks experienced was tripled when I took his album on holiday with me, I almost orgasmed on the flight to Spain when I heard various little tings and twangs that I had never noticed before.

I was just thinking about how near the beginning, the guy’s talking about being “lost in a maze of body bags” or something like that. That implies that _somebody_ appreciates their killin’s here; though I’m not a particular Vamp fan, it was the word that came to mind. And who’s this Dad we’re talking about anyway?

Am I reading way too much into this? …’Kay.

Wow. WOW. That is GOOD.

This is goign on repeat and I think it will even put my in a coding mood for some reason. Good thing too, I have a deadline tomorrow.

This song brings the rock, and it delivers it wrapped in bad-ass kittens with spiked collars and heroin addicitons.

I actually have to agree… it’s not that the vocals are too low, really… but the guitar tracks are just a bit too loud. :)

Other than that I like the song. :)

Wicked. Oh man. I hadn’t listened to any stuff from you for a good half of a year or so, and then I checked in and there’s all these great new tracks. I’m back into “EVERYBODY LISTEN TO THIS” mode. :D

Love the song. Vocals. Guitar. Drums. All of it.

i thought the song ruled and i didn’t think the voice was too low at all. It was good and thats that.If only more people noticed your songs then you would probally be a millionaire. There was this kid at my Sportscamp a bit older than me and he said that you sucked so i punched him in the face and kicked him in the balls so hard he fell down and cried. i was suspended but it was worth it.Nobody messes with Brad.

Seriously though, what are the lyrics about? In fact, where did most of the lyrics for the entire album come from?
