Almost a year ago I signed up for wireless broadband and finally after so very long of having my faith and hope slowly eroded by delays, they’re allegedly coming to install it TOMORROW. I basically am totally excited and am running around in little circles like an ass. I’ve been on 26.4k dialup for so so long and I will be so very freaking happy to move into the era of broadband awesomeness.

Hopefully the modem won’t be shipped inside a box of bubble mailers.
Enjoy it. Getting a broadband connection was something I waffled on for years, and now I can’t imagine not having it. (Actually, I can imagine it, but it involves me sleeping on the street under newspapers.)

They haven’t offered any broadband where I live. This is the first bit of it and man am I’m excited.
It takes about half an hour to 45 minutes to upload one of my 128k MP3s. Which was a huge drag when I wanted to correct mistakes or try out rough demos on people. I really can’t explain all the ways broadband is going to affect my totally hardcore net existence. Possibly I’ll just get distracted by video games and porn and never do anything productive again.

You’ll never be able to go back to dial up. I had cable modem for a year, then got laid off and had to go without. It was like having my teeth gouged out. With a rusty garden spade. Wiedled by a midget. Wearing a pointy red hat. Sporting a t-shirt that says “I’m with stupid.”
Yeah, it hurt THAT MUCH. But now I’m back on broadband and the midget is gone. Hoo-ray.
