What’s awesome is spending lots of time on the phone with OfficeMax customer service trying to get them to do something about my December 10th order of bubble envelopes that still hasn’t even shipped. They claim one business day shipping on most orders and have the delivery date on the order projected as December 12th, 2003 which is practically a million billion years ago. The status code even says “PIP – order received, filling order in delivery center” like I’m some sort of sub-idiot man-jerk.
I am in fact typing this up as I’m sitting on hold listening to OfficeMax advertisements (“when you think ink, think OfficeMax!”). This is the third time I’ve called them today, the previous two times I’ve been transferred to other departments. One time I wound up on the phone with a bank for some reason which, the lady I was talking to there agreed, was totally the wrong place for me to be.
This is actually an improvement over the two other occasions I’ve called them since the 10th asking about my order. Both of those times I was told someone would call me back and nobody did. So I at least feel a bit better about being transferred around even if it means each time I reach a dead end I have to hang up and call back and wait for one of their representatives to be free. I at least feel like I’m just one transfer away from a solution rather than waiting for a phone call that will never ever come, ever.
If there is ever a market for tell-all books by musicians (possibly with lots of swearing) on the subject of postage and envelopes and office supplies and maybe the crushing impact of this knowledge on a person’s ability to write songs, I am going to god damn write it.
Still on hold. I hope I’m at least getting punk rock indie cred or something for this.

You are nothing but a lying bastard. Everytime you claim you don’t work at OfficeMax anymore, it’s a different length of time since you left. Don’t believe me? Check message 730 above for just one example, where you claim you started your own business 2 years ago. Now above, you left a year ago. Which is it? I’ll tell you. It’s neither. You, like WSM, either still work there, but don’t have any skills to find a job you like, or you work for one of our competitors which we will be surpassing shortly. I sure hope it’s the former and you still work here because you deserve to be unhappy.

Carryover, you’re not worth my time. You need to take a remedial English class since obviously you don’t read so very well and understand far less.
Further more, I must question the intelligence of a person such as yourself, who so obviously lacks the wit and wisdom to actually debate an issue.
It is one thing to have a legitimate debate, but quite another when you must resort to slinging about profanities and slurs when you haven’t even a shred of a valid argument.

We have a word for people like you, well actually for you, since you don’t understand how English works, we have several words making one complete idea. Carryover you are what is known as OfficeMax’s Bitch.
So carry, I can call you carry, right? You’re a loyal little pup, tell us all about the company you work for. When you do it though, do it without all the corporate hype. Tell us what it has done for you. Tell us how it has made you so much better as a person when you learned how to steal the last dime of an elderly lady by selling MaxAss. Tell us about it in your own words. I really DO want to know. This is after all my dear little bitch what debate is all about.
We could all sling insults about as you so aptly prove my dear bitch, (the term dear bitch I mean that most sincerely, it’s a compliment to your blind loyalty). However, expressing ideas and concepts? That’s a totally different matter.

Why don’t you dumb jerk offs get it? If you work at Omax and hate it, quit (WSM, that would include you). If you got fired but liked working there so much that you still haven’t gotten over it, stop wasting your time obsessing about it here and move on wiht your sorry-ass life (that’d be you crapper).

Take crapper for example… although I believe he’s still a clerk in one of our stores, he claims to have quit, 2 or 3 or whatever (changes daily) years ago. Since whenever it was, he’s been sitting in front of his computer like a cunt-bag cheerleader for the stupid, replying to messages with his stupid-ass remarks like “Well said!”, “Way to go” and “I agree”. Maybe if he took his dick out of his hand (or his dogs ass), he could actually type something of substance. Look, if you want to know how we’re doing, the proof is in the pudding. Look at the stock price and read the reports. I can not help you, I’m not a teacher. Speaking as one who advanced here within your precious organization, you haven’t a clue my little brown nosed friend. You wouldn’t know the truth if it stood right in front of you and slapped you in the face.
I am not going to have a battle of Degrees here. If you need to feel that you’re smarter, then really, it’s OK. Go ahead. Feel good. It is of no importance to me. PhD? MBA? Who really cares? This isn’t really about intelligence. It is about how a company should treat its workers.
I will grant you that an inexperienced investor may see the dollar value of a stock as an accurate representation of the financial stability of a company. However reality being what it is; the market is a much more complex place than that. Dollar values affixed to any stock at any given time actually do not give an accurate representation of the financial stability of any company that is now or ever has been on the market. Moreover, how well a stock is doing by dollar value has nothing at all to do with how well a company treats those who work for it.
Carryover, I am not sure in what capacity you find yourself employed at OfficeMax, but really, bitterness aside, it’s a good thing to be happy with your job. Far too few who are employed by this company at store level find that contentment. Instead what they have found was a bunch of broken promises and corruption. For every Carryover now working at OfficeMax you will find tens more discontent mistreated workers hoping for change. They stay because, believe it or not, they actually DO care about this company. So they keep the hope alive while they bide their time working with stupid delusional assholes like you.
Truth of the matter is, if every unhappy worker could afford to leave this God Forsaken company, you my little brown nosed friend would be left all alone to ask, “Would you like paper with that?â€Â
I tell you a truth, when that ship, sailing on that imaginary blue ocean sinks down to the depths of hell where it belongs, if there is so much as one to mourn its fateful demise, it will be too grand an ending for it.
