You’re Not Going Anywhere
Genre: Rock ballad
Length: 3:35
Date: 11/21/03

Here’s a plodding sad-ish song to break up my streak of fairly up-tempo stuff. I think the mix may be messed up but I have fluid in my ear.

Only comment on the mix is that the piano could mayeb be a bit softer near the beginning. Or maybe I just have fluid in MY ear.

But anyway, great song. Reminds me alot of my friend/ex-girlfriend Kyleane. Mutual friends done waiting for her to wake up.

must agree with jason, the piano could be a little bit softer.
the rest sounds really nice, especially the laserschwertgitarren.

I did a new version with slightly mellower piano in the beginning, it’s online now. I’ll have to have a fresh listen in the morning. Thanks for your feedback!

I have no idea what version I am listening to and I really don’t care, this is a tremendous track, from someone who loved “Everything Is Great” I am overjoyed to hear you making more songs like this, I am seriously your biggest ever fan, I find it hard to ever believe that there could be anyone else on the planet that appreciates this music more than me.

Fantastic stuff. Love the piano intro, and the chords are just brilliant the whole way through.
I must’ve listened to this on loop for about 6 hours at this stage… amazing.

Amazing work. Just came across your site via Frontalot and was so glad to find a beacon of creativity amidst all the dreck out there.

This song is me and my wife’s favorite, I could listen to it all day long. Props for the line “the alcohol and drugs are better off in me”.

I just found this site today and I went through all your songs and listen to each and every one many times and they get better and better as you go! I have one complaint though… they are not long enough! I am just getting into a song and it is already almost over. Although I suppose that should be a compliment ;)

Oh, wow…As the first song I ever listened to by you…I am amazed. If I’ve said it once I’ll say it again, it’s beautiful. It really does remind me of a mix of Coldplay, Dave Matthews Band, and REM. Way to go, I listened to it 16 times and counting.

Amazing writing talent i sat down and figured it out as soon as i heard it can’t get it out of my head. You’ll have to change the one man band with no fans to the one man band with all the internet fans.

Great song. Think I’m going to buy a CD. Hope it helps out with the bandwidth. I really hope you put this one on a CD because I’d buy it. The piano has a nice Elton/Billy Joel thing going on with it, but your vocals keep it grounded in a fascinating reality that I can relate to. It’s just all around a beautiful song.
