We’re Not Friends
Genre: Rock
Length: 3:20
Date: 09/25/03
Recorded in a day, tried to do a sort of bouncy rock song. I could probably stand to obsess over it a bit more to fix various issues, but I’m kinda sick of hearing it so maybe I’ll do it later.

Nice – very catchy hook, I wouldn’t flinch if I heard this as-is on a good radio station.

Great melody and nice hook. Still getting it down with the backing harmonies are we? It works. I wouldn’t say bouncy though. If you want to get it more bouncy it would need more stabby guitars and such. Good allround. It just made a very long day at work worth while for me.

I’m with the others: the hook makes it. Nice work!

This song is about me, isn’t it, ISN’T IT?
Jeez man, I was only away a week. But still, this is the nicest song anyone’s written for me since Sir Mixalot’s “Baby Got Back”.
I would definitely say it’s bouncy, at least at the intro, the cymbals during the “whah-oooh” interlude are pretty class, I could easily be fooled into thinking that this was recorded by a 5 piece band.
This’ll be another song I’ll be half singing at work before realising I don’t really know the words.

I added this song and “There’s Something Wrong” as bonus tracks onto the end of “I Don’t Know What I’m Doing” and passed it around various friends of mine with music contacts, if you hear from any Scottish recording companies, you can blame me.
I just received a message on my phone saying: “I’m trying to get my boss to sign Brad Sucks, how fucking good is this album?” as I was typing this comment, how strange.

Coulda sworn I’d already commented on this one – strange.
Rockin’ stuff, Brad. Catchy, bouncy… great tune. Love the backing vocals, the chorus, the verse, the guitars, and the drums are “pure class” (to use an irritating Northern Ireland expression).

Good song! The riff is very catchy — I could see myself driving very fast around the Beltway with this blasting over my stereo system. I’m impressed. Now I need to buy the album! :)
