The 128k mp3s for Brad Sucks – I Don’t Know What I’m Doing are now online on that page. So if five dollars including worldwide shipping was too steep for you, you can now just download 128k mp3s of the whole thing. I’ll be taking older versions offline sometime soon as I previously mentioned.

I can’t believe “Time To Take Out The Trash” is now universally available.
I wouldn’t deprive anyone of the new awesome version of “Overreacting” (which I recently listened to whilst experiencing turbulence landing in Spain, you really need a line in it like: “that noise is perfectly normal, the pilot knows what he’s doing”).
But still, that’s your sell point, your fans are clearly sick in the head, so they’re more likely to pay 5 bucks for a song that they can’t get anywhere else, of course, this isn’t about the money, and never was.
Freak.

Yeah, it’s not really about the money. If it were I would be real sad right now.
They’re just 128k MP3s which are worse quality than what you guys got on the album. I don’t know if anyone other than me cares about that these days though.
Exclusive songs are okay I guess, but I feel like a bit of a jackass doing it and it doesn’t seem like a sustainable business model. I guess I now feel like a jackass for betraying you guys though, so it all evens out.

Well, even if the mp3s had been available before the CD, I’d have bought it anyway. I’ve got something of a neurosis when it comes to owning things – that’s what has finally put a stop to my music piracy. I’m not scared of the RIAA (well, not VERY scared), but I just like having the liner notes and stuff that come with a CD. I like having something tangible, and just burning off mp3s doesn’t give the same almost-emotional enjoyment that comes from actually owning a disc.
I guess I kinda liked the illusion of superiority that came from being a “true” fan that bought the album, but at the end of the day, I bought the thing because I like what Brad’s doing, and wanted to support it.

I agree, I download a song, then I buy the album, I don’t ever download the album.
Brad knows I love him, but if there was ever any doubt…
